Andrew Goddard
Accredited Family Law Specialist

Andrew is a part time Consultant and former Partner of the firm. Andrew brings a wealth of experience in most areas of law. He gained experience in general practice before specialising in Family Law.

Andrew was admitted to practice in 1967. Andrew became an Accredited Family Law Specialist in 1989 and has withdrawn from other areas of law to promote specialisation within the firm. As a father and grandfather Andrew has a special interest in parenting issues including acting for grandparents.

Main area of Practice

Family law with an emphasis on complicated Family Law cases involving complex business structures and difficult legal problems. He brings to this area the full range of his experience and provides clients with excellent representation.

Andrew is also engaged as an Independent Childrens' Lawyer in matters involving difficult children's issues.

Gordon Ainger
Accredited Family Law Specialist

Coming from a rural background, Gordon has experience in Family Law, Criminal Law, Personal Injuries, General & Commercial Litigation and Conveyancing, with an emphasis on Court appearance work. He has Bachelor Degrees in Laws and Arts and joined the firm in 2004.

Gordon has appeared in the County Court, Magistrates' Court, Family Court, Federal Magistrates' Court, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal in various of its lists, the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal, Children's Court and the Legal Profession Tribunal.

Since 2003 Gordon has focused on Family Law and now practises exclusively in this area. His practice covers the full range, from amicable settlements and other consent arrangements to complicated litigation with intricate business structures and Full Court Appeals. Gordon's previous experience in general litigation matters stands him in good stead in dealing with the wide variety of problems encountered by Family Law clients.

Pamela Horton

Accredited Wills and Estate Planning Specialist

Pam was admitted to practice in 1987 and has worked as a sole practitioner, an employee and corporate solicitor and lecturer in business and property law.

Main areas of Practice

Commercial law, property law and Wills and estate planning, dealing with complex business and estate matters.

Clientele

Large commercial and domestic property developers, medium and small business and Local Government. Matters requiring alternative dispute resolution methods.

Phillip Liberatore
Commercial Litigation and Criminal Law
Associate Lawyer

Phillip was admitted to practice in 1990 and has worked in the city and suburbs. Phillip has appeared in all Court jurisdictions, State and Federal, acting for individuals and corporations. Phillip joined the firm in 2006. His practice concentrates on all areas of Court work, with extensive experience in Employment Law and he has published and conducted seminars for commercial and private clients.

Main areas of Practice

Phillip has extensive experience in Domestic Relationship Law, Commercial Litigation, Industrial Relations, Property Law and Caveat Law, Criminal Law and Police Charges including Court appearances.

Heather Mason
Family Law

Heather Mason commenced practice as a Family Lawyer in 1981. In 1982, she became a Partner in a Firm then known as Egan Lobb & Walker. That Firm later changed its name to Mason Sier Turnbull. She continued her role as Partner in charge of the Family Law Department at that Firm for a period of 20 years. In 2002, Heather retired from the partnership of Mason Sier Turnbull and became a Consultant to Goddard Elliott.

Heather is a trained Mediator.

For some years, Heather was a member of a Panel of Lawyers associated with Relationships Australia. During her period of approximately 25 years as a Family Lawyer, Heather has handled cases in most areas of Family Law including complex commercial disputes and is highly regarded in this field.
